PREMIERE: Manu Crooks Returns with ‘Bastards’.

In the first taste of his forthcoming EP Mood Forever II, the Ghanian-Australian rapper turns up the bass and sends bars at the ‘Bastards’.

Manu Crooks’ musical manifesto is one that’s becoming more familiar by the year. Since the release of his breakout single ‘Everyday’, his artistry has continued to develop, with festival-ready 2017 EP Mood Forever, and collaborative singles such as the fan-favourite ‘Fuego’ with Anfa Rose, and last year’s ‘Hectic’ with J Emz of OneFour. Even with his veteran-like tenure in the rapidly moving Australian rap scene, he’s far from done as ‘Bastards’ sees Manu Crooks writing his next chapter.

This new single features Manu rapping with intensity, attacking each verse with fiery triplet-flow and tying them together with a gritty, gut-punching hook. With blasting 808s and horror movie-like synths of the beat, courtesy of French producer Sweely, every bar Manu spits is an arrow hitting the bullseye. The accompanying video was filmed in junkyards and abandoned buildings throughout Western Sydney, and features cameos from Cult Shotta, Lil Golo, and OME.

‘Bastards’ is the first taste of Manu Crook‘s sophomore EP Mood Forever II,  slated for a release later this year. In the meantime, peep the new video below.
