We’ve been following these guys for a while now and it’s great to see them doing BIG things. We caught up with vocalist, Dyl Thomas, for a bit of Small Talk on their new EP, She Will Never Know. Dyl lets us in on the making of the EP and the surround sound systems on alien spaceships. Read on…
My name is… Dyl Thomas of Polo Club
I live in… Melbourne
My EP is called… She Will Never Know
Some of the things that inspired it are… life, personal experiences, love, drugs, music, space & art.
It’s cover art looks like… A screen shot taken from our clip:
My favourite track is… She will never know or Break in horses
The person I can imagine listening to it is… in a space shuttle about to land on Earth for the first time, from the outer reaches of space, banging that shit loud through the shuttle’s surround sound.
The hardest thing about making this EP was… Finishing it.
And the best thing was… writing it with the other people in Polo Club, Adam, Cam and Aidan… oh, and finishing it.
My favourite mixtape would include… original production by Polo Club mixed with ya favourite rappers and artists.. oh hang on, we have already done that! Cop it below!
The gig I must see before I die would be… Pink Floyd, or Drake.
When I’m not making music I… watch NBA, hang with my girl and do design.
The last thing I downloaded was… Hit-Boy mixtape, its got some heaters on there.
The next project I’m working on is… mostly just collabs with all different types of artists, I’m always working on solo music too, as I love to produce. I’ve written some stuff with EDO (Flight Tonight) too.
