What’s the only thing better than a new track from Brisbane-based singer Wafia? A collab with producer Ta-Ku. It’s no secret that we’ve been in love with Wafia for a while now, as she is repping the kind of voice that guarantees a hit on that replay button. Ta-Ku comes through after she opens it up and basically just kills it as always. The Future Classic label buds have come together for a track that sees the pair swapping verses and flowing together more naturally than should be possible. Using their own personal experiences to fuel the emotion in the single, they shared their stories with each other, and then quickly put them to good use. “All aspects of the song tell a story that runs parallel to both our lives,” Ta-Ku said. “Compromise is sacrifice.”

So, what’s the only thing better than a joint track from these two? Having collaborated previously, the duo work so well together that they’ve decided to bless us with an entire joint EP titled (m)edian, which is already available for pre-order. Set to drop on August 5, ‘Meet In The Middle’ acts as a good prelude of what is to come. Check it out in the gallery above.
