Australian music’s darling Tkay Maidza has been doing some big things lately, scoring a feature on a Martin Solveig summer jam. ‘Do It Right’ has the sound and visuals of a trippy ’90s dance hit and we can see it getting some heavy rotation for the northern summer. Directed by Parisienne film company Monsieur L’Agent, the video takes place in a Mediterranean utopia, where milk is poured onto plants and it isn’t abnormal to dance with a Yeti. The film vacillates between the natural and the man-made world. Mirrors are propped on dirt, plants decorate the indoors. Tkay’s strong vocals mix well with Solveig’s future house sound. Unfortunately you don’t get to hear the young musician and fashionista rap, but you get to see her energetic personality as she dances around in the boxy, pink and blue pastel paradise. This is all while Solveig runs around purposefully in nice suits, and then plunges himself into the swimming pool. Have a look at the summery video above.
