Watch: Vic Mensa & Skrillex – ‘No Chill’

"This is the world of no chill"

Posted by

Nine months after Vic Mensa and EDM giant Skrillex dropped their collaborative track ‘No Chill’, the duo are back with a video clip that somehow manages to have no chill, but still be incredibly cool.

The intense visuals match the flow of the Chi-Town rapper as he goes hard, spitting lyrics like “with a halo on my deal, I signed to Hov, I’m lightskin Jesus”. Yep, the recently signed Roc Nation rapper shows zero chill the whole way through, and it’s pretty great.

From the man behind ‘Alright’ for Kendrick Lamar and Nicki Minaj’s ‘Anaconda’, director Colin Tilley flexes his versatility in this vibrant clip that delves into Tokyo’s underground. Skrillex and Vic basically tear shit up and the video acts as an account of all their rioting, and doubles as a visually stimulating lights show.

They hit up some pretty sweet spots too, such as Tokyo’s Rockaholic Music Bar, Shibya Street Izumi Garden, Robot Restaurant, and Blendy Park at Ajinomoto Stadium.

Australian fans need to watch this space with upcoming acts for Groovin’ the Moo and headline shows on the rise for Mensa. With his debut album Traffic set to drop in the middle of the year and ‘Danger‘ having just hit SoundCloud, the 22-year-old rapper is definitely putting in work.
