While Kanye preaches his absolute divinity and messiah status, something much bigger (sorry Yeezy) has been gaining momentum.
Wu-Tang‘s 20th anniversary release A Better Tomorrow has been notching up plenty of hype in recent weeks, with the album’s first single ‘Keep Watch’ dropped last week to critical acclaim. Rumours have now been confirmed however, of a previously undisclosed side project that should have every hip-hop lover’s panties in a knot.
In a recent interview with Forbes, RZA openly spoke about the six-years-in-the-making venture… “We’re about to put out a piece of art like nobody else has done in the history of music.” With just one copy set to be released, Once Upon a Time in Shaolin stands as the most coveted object in hip-hop.
RZA went on to explain that they plan to tour the coveted piece through museums and galleries around the world to use the album as a springboard for the reconsideration of music as art.
A Better Tomorrow drops in July.
