Over the last year, XO has well and truly stepped out of the shadows of internet remix culture and into his own identity as an electronic R&B artist producing original works. We’ve heard two track from his upcoming EP ‘The Ethereal Experience’ and the release sounds like dance jams crafted in an online space devoid of geography. Despite that, XO comes from a very real place in the UK called Stoke-on-Trent, a town renowned for churning out accomplished musicians over the last few decades. But when you’re on the up, getting featured on BBC Radio One Xtra and RBMA, you’ve got to get closer to the capital to be heard.
