Last week, Christian Kimber gave us all a little preview of his brand new store and on Thursday he opened the doors to Melbourne’s style set for the official launch of the bricks-and-mortar location. With its hand-selected furnishings and apartment-style decor, the gathering felt more like a mid-week drinks at a mate’s place rather than your ‘traditional’ menswear event and that’s exactly how the designer wants it. On show were his current range of bespoke shoes and accessories, which take cues from light and colours of local spots. Last week’s locals got a chance to chill in the new space, get a hands-on preview of the product, and share a drink with the designer himself.
