Long gone are the days when high-fashion labels only ever exuded an air of ‘high class’ – looks that could only be pictured in the mansions of private estates, red carpets, and pages of glossy fashion mags. Gucci’s recent collaborative endeavours has seen the likes of artist Gucci Ghost and the Peanuts crew getting their likenesses featured across a range of apparel, as well as the increased use of custom embroidered patches giving off a much more relevant vibe. And now, off the back of these highly graphic collections, the house that Alessandro Michele rules has unveiled their latest fashion star – Disney’s Donald Duck.
Yep, the bird that wears no pants features front and centre in the label’s new men’s RTW capsule, which offers t-shirts, sweaters, scarves, and even a leather bomber jacket. The appliqué Dons don’t help to drive down the prices though, with a tee setting you back €465 (that’s about $643) and that bomber costing a sweet €3,650 (just of $5kAUD, yikes). Take a look at some of the styles available in the gallery above and head to Gucci to see the full range.
