Clarks desert boots are a wardrobe staple for men in the same league as blue denim or crisp white t-shirts. They’re an essential, the sartorial equivalent of cooking  white rice  – it goes with pretty much everything and it’s hard to fuck it up. Still, sometimes you crave something a little more exotic, maybe a saffron rice or some sort of arborio arrangement. The template stays the same, but the ingredients get a little more exotic. On an unrelated note, I’m really hungry.

Still, the simile works with this collab release between Clarks and Herschel Supply Co, it’s  the iconic silhouette of the classic desert boot but dressed up with the accessory brand’s touches. From the navy leather with white contrast stitching, to the denim heel tab, it’s everything you know and love plus a little bit extra. The boot is part of Clarks Autumn/Winter range and is available now via End Clothing. No word on Australian release date as yet.
