In the first of two bits of amazing CARBON festival news, CARBON is thrilled to announce its official partnership with adidas Originals as a major supporter of this year’s event. Joining ACCLAIM and New Era Australia as existing partners, adidas have top secret plans for a major event taking place on the first night of CARBON forums, Saturday April 13th. We can’t reveal anything yet, but we can promise that it will be a night to remember.

For exciting news part two, CARBON have four incredible new speakers to announce! Revolutionary digital artist and adidas Originals ambassador Geoffrey Lillemon, seminal San Francisco contemporary artist Barry McGee, Founder/President of RVCA PM Tenore, and CARBON Festival creative director and ACCLAIM Magazine Founder/Editor In Chief Andrew Montell join an already hugely impressive lineup of Shawn Stussy, Ronnie Fieg, DABS MYLA, Eddie Huang, Jeff Hamada, Lawrence Schlossman, Mark Drew, Simon ‘Woody’ Wood, Martha Cooper, and Henry Chalfant.

Read more about the exciting new additions below:

Geoffrey Lillemon

Thanks to the adidas partnership, digital artist and creative visionary Geoffrey Lillemon is joining the Contemporary Art & Design forum. A leader of the Net Art Movement, Lillemon is one of the few creative artists recruited by adidas for their Unite All Originals campaign and is a seasoned public speaker.

Barry McGee

Joining Geoffrey Lillemon on the Contemporary Art & Design forum is a massive name from the street art world. San Francisco contemporary artist Barry McGee helps to complete an already phenomenal lineup. He’s an applauded contemporary artist worldwide, and having him along for the festival truly is a special treat.

PM Tenore

The next exciting new addition is PM Tenore, otherwise known as the founder and president of iconic street/surf lifestyle brand RVCA. As a man who came from very humble beginnings, starting RVCA out of his garage, Tenore personifies the Build A Brand forum. His experience in not only building, but also maintaining a brand over many years makes for an invaluable addition to CARBON.

Andrew Montell

Last but not least, joining the New Media forum is our very own founder and editor-in-chief of ACCLAIM Magazine and creative director of CARBON festival itself, Andrew Montell. Sharing his experience in independent publishing, beginning with hip-hop zine Out4Fame in 1999 through to the present day incarnation of ACCLAIM, Montell has extensive knowledge of the media industry to share.
