Last night saw the Sydney launch of the highly anticipated Andre Pompilio clothing and accessories collab with Onitsuka Tiger at their concept store in Sydney’s Queen Victoria Building.

Inspiration for the new line came from the musicians, artists and breakdancers that enliven the streets of the most underground neighbourhoods in Los Angeles.

The prints, Andrea Pompilio’s signature feature, blend together with Onitsuka Tiger’s Collection in a kaleidoscope of computerised, sprayed and tattooed graphics that recall the artworks of urban writers. The colours recall the freshness of California, with clear references to Downtown LA’s graffiti whilst the accessories line of backpacks and caps encompasses a touch of the original Los Angeles ’80s hip-hop style revisited with a contemporary vision.

A women’s collection has also been added to the release for the first time in the traditional men’s line’s history, whilst maintaining a strong street style personality.
