I appreciate a good pair of round frame glasses. What I didn’t know is that these babies date back much further than the music festival goers of the ‘60s and ‘70s. Aussie sunglasses brand AM Eyewear have teamed up with Chinese clothing retailer Shanghai Tang on this limited run of round framed sunglasses, which take inspiration from a style specific to Chinese culture, harking back to the 12th century and even The Last Emperor of China. Featuring a flat frame across the brow and round lenses, this capsule offers up five different combos of the Puyi style and serves as a celebration of Shanghai Tang’s 20th anniversary. Retailing between AU$460-520, you probably won’t want to wear these to any music festival. Keep an eye out online for their release some time this month.
