Kanye inbound. With the announcement that Yeezy season 5 will take place this month, speculations have started buzzing around the mogul’s fifth fashion show. Pencil in Feb 15, 5pm.

So the last Yeezy line premier we saw was held at Roosevelt Island, and before that, we had the Pablo escapade at Maddison Square Garden. Both shows were more than memorable in their own rights, and notable in the fashion world for being hosted in such over-the-top venues. Season 5 is set to take place at Pier 59 Studios, which is far more standard in the runway realm. This could be an inclination that he’s going to play by the rules, but if we know Kanye at all, then that’s really not an option. The only facts we really have at this point is that adidas is 100% signed on to the project. Other than that, it’s really a question of whether past shows can be used as a basis of prediction, or if he’s planning on switching it up.

Our verdict? With the shift Kim’s gram has taken since her return to social media, the show could follow the pattern of coming back down to Earth. The recent meeting with Trump could also mean another presidential announcement is on the cards. And if we’re lucky, we might get some snippets of his rumoured TLOP follow-up, Turbo Grafx 16. Stay tuned, because Yeezy season is here, and this is only breakfast.
