Kristen Stewart will represent luxury fashion label Chanel for its upcoming Metiers d’Art Paris-Dallas collection.

Her move from teen actress to the world of haute couture has been a while in the making, with Stewart fronting a Balenciaga fragrance campaign back in August. Now, much like the way Rafiki held up Simba in the Lion King, Chanel maestro Karl Lagerfeld has opened up the world of fashion to the stone-faced Stewart, choosing her to front the label’s new line.

Other bearers of expressionless fashion faces united for the announcement at a very serious fashion event, where Stewart posed in front of a vintage car and neon signage in a crop top in some very serious orange leather oversized pants. The preview of the French label’s new collection boasted a distinctly country-western, American feel. Stewart’s signature scowl also made an appearance, although I’d probably look like that if I were wearing those pants too.
