Louis Vuitton‘s Kim Jones unveiled his upcoming collection of ready-to-wear men fashion at a prestigious conservatory as part of Paris Fashion Week. Although we can’t imagine anything emblazoned with the Louis Vuitton emblem ‘roughing it’ on an American road trip, the pieces pay tribute to just that. The Louis Vuitton man moved from the eastern Himalayas of last season to the sunny West Coast of the United States for this spring/summer 2014 and got all inspired by NASA uniforms and bandanas. The pieces are whimsical and colourful and the pieces carry a distinctive mixture of classic American style and leisurely travel prints.
The runway featured full suede jackets, greaser-style bombers, and paisley shirts set off with travel badges, cotton bandanas and tailored checked shorts. The formal additions were Gatsby-esque suits and featured raw kimono silk.
