If we weren’t curious enough about creative director Anthony Vaccarello’s vision for the new era of Yves Saint Laurent after Hedi Slimane’s departure, we sure as hell are now after this minimalist teaser clip. After the complete wipe out of YSL’s Instagram, it’s clear the Parisian label want to completely rebrand themselves as a fresh-faced Laurent. If this Euro-fab, ’90s Calvin Klein-esque video directed by London-based Nathalie Canguilhem, is anything to go by, Vaccarello is stripping down previous aesthetics (literally) with minimal clothing, bare backs, and fresh-faced youth.
Check out the ambiguous, black-and-white teaser photographed by Collier Schorr and featuring models Mattia, Sven and Steve. The new era of YSL is looking very, very intriguing.
