In a break from his work with Pyrex Vision and Kanye West’s DONDA creative house, Virgil Abloh has dropped his first collection from his Off-White label. Titled ‘Youth Will Always Win’, it’s a blend of streetwear and fashion, that aims for that “high fashion athletic” look that is often pursued and subsequently missed by designers.

Completely produced in Italy, the collection features logo-heavy designs printed on block coloured garments. With its bright colours, cubist logos and big printed numbers the collection looks like the natural evolution of Abloh’s past design work. A lot of the pieces do show promise, however quite a few (especially the yellow variations) leave the wearer looking like a giant hazard sign.

Abloh explained his vision to Style.com, stating “I want to give my point of view and merge street sensibilities in a proper fashion context. I think that if I can merge the two, it’ll make something interesting.”
