On Thurday, Nike CEO Mark Parker sat down with Bloomberg’s Stephanie Ruhle on “Bloomberg Markets” to discuss all things brand-related. Parker talked about the latest Nike+ App for athletes, adaptive self-lacing technology, and his hopeful outlook on the future for Nike female athletes. But when Ruhle mentions Kanye West, and West’s Nike diss, the conversation took an uncomfortable turn. “We’ve seen what Adidas has done with Kanye,” says Ruhle. “Do you want to stick with athletes?

She’s referring to Ye’s lyrics ‘Nike, Nike treat employees just like slaves/Gave LeBron a billi’ not to run away, yo! in The Life of Pablo‘s ‘Facts’.

“Well, we’re all about athletes,” responded Parker, before diverting the discussion back to Nike’s products. Awkward? See for yourself above.
