Vice and The Creators Project have come together to present a look into Boston-based photographer Pelle Cass’ time-lapse photography series, Selected People, and his methods.

While most time-lapse projects tend to show the rapid distillation of time, usually over a long period, Cass approaches the medium from another direction. By picking and choosing from up to 300 photographs of the same public location like a park, street corner or set of stairs, Cass is able to select the people and events that he finds most interesting and, using Photoshop, put them together into one still, often amusing, image.
