In a bid to further understand Gerhard Richters photo paintings, Will Cooke has taken it upon himself to erect his own approach to the practice.

Over the course of six hours, 12 35mm photographs were taken. The images were then sliced in half and realigned to the point of distortion. As a result, 12 abstract paintings have been produced, each loosely reflecting the distortion that followed.
