America’s motor (and music) city, Detroit is now a blossoming utopia for young creatives who are taking over the city with hope of change, riding the wave of lax legislation and endless possibilities. At least that’s how Revok and Pose see their adopted home: a city full of abandoned buildings and unenforced rules makes for a graffiti artist’s playground.

In this interview by the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (MOCAD), Revok and Pose pay homage to Nekst, the city of Detroit and its thriving Graffiti scene, painting two massive Nekst tribute pieces. It’s a city of creative and criminal opportunity where no one really cares and the law doesn’t really have the money to buff the city clean.
