A month ago CEO of American Apparel, Dov Charney lost his job after allegations of misconduct and sexual harassment. This caused a lot of spark among the media and public, everyone had something to say. Looks like we’ll all keep talking because he’s managed to work his way back into the American Apparel team with a new job title, “strategic consultant”. Yeah Charney, you must be damn strategic indeed to have somehow pulled this one off.

Underneath successful persuasion you’ll often find money. With some help from Standard General, Charney basically forced AA’s hand in re-employment as he bought up nearly half the company. Nicely done, mate. Apparently Charney will be paid a base salary and “have no supervisory authority over any employee of the company”.

Though he’s back on board with the AA team, the allegations against him are still being investigated.
