Surprise, surprise – Melbourne has just be announced as the ‘Worlds Most Liveable City for the fifth year in a row. The Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) liveability survey of 140 cities awarded Melbourne with a near perfect (97.5 out of 100) score in the areas of health care, education, stability, culture and environment, and infrastructure.

The rest of Australia also fared well, with Adelaide ranked in fifth place, and seven out of the top 10 cities in either Canada or Australia.  Unsurprisingly, Damascus, capital of Syria was ranked at the bottom of the list. You can look at the full survey results and conclusions here.

Here’s to another five years at the top.
