You all remember Contra right? If not, now’s your chance to get acquainted. The notoriously challenging side-scrolling shooter was developed by Konami for the arcade game in 1987 and was later released for Nintendo.

PunchBox Studios have released Contra: Evolution for iOS. The new, less pixelated version of the game will set you back $0.99 for iPhone and $2.99 for the iPad version. Audiences are obviously getting less dexterous, as the game has scaled down its brutal difficulty by implementing difficulty levels and a feature that allows players to save up more lives.
