Peaches Geldof has been claimed to have died of a heroin overdose, echoing her mother Paula Yates’ death 14 years ago. The toxicology reports were leaked to The Times of London last night, with an official inquest detailing the facts of her death to be held today.

Police had previously stated that her death was being treated as a “non-suspicious, unexplained sudden death”, and that police didn’t find any evidence of drug paraphernalia in the house, leading to theories that “items may have been removed before the property was searched”.

The young star was found unresponsive with her 11-month old son Phaedra in her care. Just weeks before her death in a final interview, Geldof spoke of her late mother, who also died of a heroin overdose in 2000, age 41. “There are so many parallels between us. Now I can understand everything. I think you have to experience hardships and pain yourself to fully understand people who have been through it and also you can never really experience happiness unless you’ve had that down feeling too.”
