In the first instalment of their latest 10-part series on Atlanta, Noisey takes us beyond the music to visit the streets and neighbourhoods that birthed the wave of drug-rap artists. The story follows Noisey host Thomas Morton, who gets first hand experience on how to cook dope, flex with your homies and learns the 101’s of the trap game.

The documentary series is set to star artists like 2 Chainz, Gucci Mane, Migos, Young Thug, iLoveMakonnen and producers such as Mike Will Made-It, with each giving their own perspective on the industries capitalisation of Atlanta’s unsettling history of drugs and violence, which established the careers of many.

You can watch the first episode above and stay tuned for the next instalment.
