In a recent study conducted by Pornhub, it would seem that people are turning towards the luck of the Irish for their daily hit (or however often it is).  They took a look at how St Patrick’s day affects people’s porn searches, and the findings, based on data from 2015, were quite interesting. The results show that there was a 650% increase of people searching ‘Irish’ on St Patrick’s Day, with the rise starting in the week leading up to the special day. People definitely get into the ‘spirit’ on the weekend of March 14, when many of the parades take place, with the Irish search rising 300% on this weekend alone.

In true Irish spirit many people have a drink, or ten, on St Patrick’s Day, and it’s evident in Pornhub’s study. When you’ve had a few it can become a little difficult to type and so they investigated how many misspelt words there were and found that, for example, the word ‘lesbian’ is misspelt 19% times more than usual. Surprisingly, there’s also an increase of 8142% of searches for ‘leprechaun’. Everyone has their fantasies, I guess.
