You’ve probably been hearing a lot from Anderson .Paak recently, and for good reason. The singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist has been taking over stages and playlists in the past six months. There’s no doubt that his work on Dr Dre’s Compton album last year sky-rocketed his stocks and revealed a strong supporter in Dre himself. This has now come full-circle, with Dre announcing .Paak as the latest signee to his Aftermath Entertainment records. His new album Malibu is a definite heater and continues to showcase his immense talent for creating easy, jazz- and funk-influenced hip-hop and R&B music. Hopefully this new deal means that we’ll be hearing a lot more from the Californian in the near future.
