Beginning his journey as a solo artist back in 2015, Los Angeles artist Blxst spent the first few years honing his sound and carving out a lane within the US scene. Releasing his breakout track ‘Hurt’ in 2019, Blxst began on an upward trajectory, establishing himself as one to watch in the world of US R&B. In 2020 Blxst released his debut project ‘No Love Lost’ to critical praise, gaining huge traction and winning over audiences around the world. The deluxe edition of ‘No Love Lost’ further expands on the original 8-tracks and features fellow West Coast artists Dom Kennedy, Tyga, Ty Dolla $ign and Bino Rideaux.

In the spirit of keeping it West Coast, we caught up with Blxst to grab his picks of the most essential L.A tracks.

Follow Blxst here, stream No Love Lost and check out his list below.

01. Nipsey Hussle – Double Up ft. Dom Kennedy & Belly

Nipsey Hussle was a legend in the city. He showed us that you can really create something of your own and own it.

02. 2pac x Snoop Dogg - 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted

This was classic collab. Still a banger til this day.

03. Kendrick Lamar - King Kunta

This is a classic Kendrick track because at that time it brought a different sound to the LA rap scene.

04. Tha Eastsidaz - I Luv It

This is another one that still gets played where I’m from, everybody will dance.

05. DJ Quik - Pitch In On A Party

This one just had this west coast groove, similar to the sounds that I like.
