Look out Cher, Drake’s got a Las Vegas residency too

The Toronto rapper's rumoured Las Vegas residency deal is said to netted him more $10 million.

After his lengthy Aubrey & the Three Migos tour last year (which grossed around $79 million), you’d think Drake would be looking forward to a break. Alas, he simply can’t resist chasing the bag. He’s rumoured to have inked $10 million Vegas residency deal at the Wynn Hotel’s XS Nightclub.

The rapper performed a 30 minute set at the club on the 10th of January, alluding to a series of other dates at the venue in the future. “Vegas! When I came back, I thought it’d be back at T-Mobile Arena ” he told the crowd, “But I’ll be back here at XS all year. You’ll have a lotta chances to see me.” He was reportedly paid $2 million for that half-hour set, which brought 1,600 people inside in the club and another 3,200 to an outdoor area of the venue.

According to The Review Journal, Drake’s XS deal will see him perform at the club 12 times over the next two years. The club also has residency deals with the likes of The Chainsmokers, David Guetta and Dillon Francis.

Drake also recently launched his own Champagne, called Mod Selection. There should be some new Drake music on the horizon as well, seeing as he announced that he was working on a follow up to Scorpion late last year.
