If you’re familiar with the cream of the crop in Australian skateboarding then you’ll be well aware of Lewis Marnell whose technical prowess on the board is matched only by his laid back, no nonsense nature off of it. You may not however be aware of his extensive knowledge of Reggae music with a specific interest in 7″ and 12″ releases from the genre released throughout the 70s and 80s, a period where the conventions and hallmarks of the Jamaican sound were laid down for the generations of artists and sub-genres to come.

With this exclusive mix for ACCLAIM Magazine Lewis Marnell Aka Jah Lewis presents us with some of his rare finds and personal favourites for an hour long excursion into the roots of Jamacian Reggae, Dub and Dancehall. So sit back, zone out (or read our interview with Lewis here) and take a ride with Jah Lewis and ACCLAIM Magazine’s Duppy Mix.
