PREMIERE: CD links with Pania on ‘Catcha Grip’

Two of Melbourne's most exciting new voices in R&B connect to deliver a slick visual for their collaborative track.

Having made a stir with her debut Mr. M.I.A., Melbourne’s CD has quickly stamped herself as an exciting new voice in the thriving Melbourne scene. Off the back of just one single and a handful of live performances, the hype has already been bubbling. Today, CD connects with fellow fast-rising songstress, PANIA for another honey-dipped single called ‘Catcha Grip’ that further characterises her sound, and with equally impressive impact.

Featuring production from Sydney’s SOLLYY, ‘Catcha Grip’ is revivalist in feel, while still leaning forward. Carrying early-2000’s R&B sensibilities, it’s a provocative offering that calls for self-love and sexual empowerment.

CD explains “It was very much centred around body image and empowering women which is why I wanted to work with as many women as possible on this release”. An ode to finally loving your figure and form, while inviting your other half to love it too.

With a slick visual directed by Khushi Patil and Renee Kypriotis, ‘Catcha Grip’ marks CD as an artist elevating their craft and we can’t wait for more.
