Have you been thinking you could use a little more spontaneity in your life? Welp, Converse and their entourage of musical mates are allowing you to indulge in the now with this latest endeavour, SNEAKERS WOULD. Kicking off in Melbourne on October 22, SNEAKERS WOULD will feature a series of secret, impulsive shows across multiple cities in Australia and New Zealand throughout October and November.
The great news is they’re all free! The other news is that you’re probably not going to know anything about the shows until they’re about to happen. Converse will be offering fans tickets in some pretty unorthodox ways, so my suggestion is to keep your mind open (as well as your schedule) over the next couple months, especially if, for example, some stranger is mentioning something about The Vines playing a show down the street in half an hour. Converse have enlisted the Aussie rock favourites, as well as Bloods on support, Remi, Collarbones and a whole heap more to partake in this series of shows.
SNEAKERS WOULD is inspired by Converse’s Fall 2014 collection which echoes a similar rebellious energy, incorporating zipper detailing, distressed materials and graphic prints on the iconic Chuck Taylor silhouette.
