We first came across Nylo thanks to her unapologetic #slowjam anthem Fool Me Once, and we haven’t been able to get her out of our mind since. The Chicagoan found early inspiration in the gospel music of her native city, teaching herself piano at a young age and piecing together compositions from church hymns. With a co-sign courtesy of Nas and an EP that just dropped – expect to hear a lot more of Nylo in the future.

The last was… Mac Miller’s Watching Movies with the Sound Off because I’m singing on track 14, “Someone Like You”!
If I wasn’t making music I would probably be… trying to figure out the fastest way to become a rocket scientist and go to space.

The best thing about touring is… being with your best friends every day and every night for an extended period of time.

My perfect gig would involve… incredible sound and probably the scientist that designed that motion-reactive light show for that Kylie Minogue ‘Get Outta My Way’ video, ‘cuz well – those were pretty cool.
The first gig I went to was… some heavy metal show in Chicago, where I got thrown up by a couple friends and actually ended up onstage. I was pretty excited by live music after that.
The most important thing on my rider is… that tray of assorted berries, 27 blue m&m’s, and 24k gold toilet seat, of course.
My hangover cure is… if you asked me on the morning of the hangover, I would say, “Never drinking again” but usually turns out to be more like sunlight and self-loathing.

My computer’s wallpaper is… well, at the moment its my album art for INDIGO because I was so proud of it when I finished it – but I rotate it ALL the time.
