We teamed up with Collarts to put together this mini-documentary about what it’s like to work on the operations side of Melbourne’s iconic Laneway Festival. We followed nine students as they spent the day working within within audio production, artist liaison roles and event management.
Providing insight into what it’s like to work at a festival for the very first time, the students talk of nerves, their personal relationship to the festival and how good it really feels to be doing something you love. Oh, and how it feels to rub shoulders with the likes of Lorde, King Krule and Vance Joy.
For anyone interested in working in the music industry, this video provides an honest portrayal of what your career could be like.
