It’s that time of the year again – ACCLAIM magazine and acclaimmag.com are looking for some new interns to help out in our editorial department. Interning at ACCLAIM is a great way to get some hands-on experience in the publishing field. As you know, we cover the following sorts of topics:

— style (particularly menswear)
— art / graffiti / design
— skate
— music (particularly rap, hip-hop and electronic)

If you have a keen interest in or a strong knowledge of any of the above, then you could be a valued intern, working alongside the ACCLAIM editorial team. Interns will mainly be writing web content, but opportunities to contribute to the print publication may arise as well.

Successful applicants will:
— be hard-working
, with strong attention to detail
— have strong writing abilities
— have an interest in the kind of content ACCLAIM covers
— be reliable and consistent
— be a quick learner
— be focused and take their work seriously
— have their own laptop
— be able to commit at least 1 – 2 full days per week in the ACCLAIM office in Melbourne, Australia

Ability with Adobe Creative Suite is not essential, but will looked upon very favourably.

Duties may include:
— writing blog posts
— researching features and web content
— writing interview questions
— formatting articles
— aggregating posts to our social networks
— transcribing interviews
— performing general office duties
— being able to help out with events

The internship program lasts for one month, with a review session at the end of that period. Successful interns will be invited to continue the program
