A$AP Rocky returns to Dior as the face for SS17

Joined by Rami Malek, Boy George, and Ernest Klimko

A$AP Rocky has reminded the hip-hop and fashion worlds alike why we call him Pretty Flacko. The Harlem rapper has started 2017 with some of that fashion killa class he has helped bring to the traditionally more streetwear heavy hip-hop scene.

After starring in Dior Homme’s FW16 campaign, Lord Flacko has joined forces again with the luxury label, taking front and centre as the face of Dior’s SS17 campaign. Rocky is seen rocking some not-so-subtle embroidered trousers and an incredible tailored coat with sport style stripes running down the sleeve. Appropriately shot in the streets of Paris, the photos of Rocky show the king has no thoughts of falling from his fashion throne any time soon.

A$AP isn’t the only creative bringing the heat for Dior this season. Model Ernest Klimko, Mr. Robot actor Rami Malek, and Boy George each bring their unique looks to the campaign.

Creative Director Kris Van Assche told WWD, “Boy George, when I was a kid, was one of the first to have this message about difference being okay… that idea of freedom and being a rebel.”

Shot by photographer Willy Vanderperre, the collection encompasses this idea of difference, the pieces featured are anything but basic. Each photo has the element of high-end fashion Dior is renowned for, coupled with the quirky looks of the models used.

Hand in hand with the new campaign comes the new Instagram from Dior, @diorhomme, for your daily dose of style and a closer look at the coming collection.
