Charles LeBrun knows basketball apparel

Hometown basketball apparel living large

Charles LeBrun is a basketball apparel label and the brainchild of long-time Acclaim friend and photographer, Georgia Haynes.

Drawing inspiration from the Mildura Mavericks basketball uniform Georgia grew up playing for and wearing as a kid, her signature piece is a pair of basketball shorts, heavily influenced from style developed by Michael Jordan and the Michigan Wolverine’s Fab 5. The design features double-layered mesh and a rib-knit waistband, pulled together with a classic Chicago Bulls-style satin tape silhouette.

There’s a lot of Georgia in her Charles LeBrun apparel. The label’s namesake is Georgia’s grandfather and ancestor. The pieces are styled with Nike Airforce 1s – a staple since her youth. Her friends model her clothes and her brother is working with her on the label. Having spent time playing ball at the Fitzroy courts, she’s focused on building a community around Charles LeBrun: which comes as no surprise given her love for family. It’s hometown apparel living large in the big city.

Charles LeBrun will celebrate its official launch on June 14 at Spacebound Store in Collingwood.
