adidas’ latest sneaker collab with their longtime friend and legendary skateboarder Mark Gonzales isn’t actually designed for skating, it’s more of a chilling shoe. I guess even when you’re a god-like skater, you’ve sometimes got to take some time out to kick back while looking steezy. The ZX Gonz is another example of adidas’ recent habit of changing up their shoe silhouettes – taking the base of adidas’s ZX Flux, removing some of the sporty elements, and replacing them with some skate-inspired ones.

The ZX Gonz is made from a black synthetic mesh upper with contrasting grey synthetic heel, stripes, and eyestay. The red lace clip on the front of the shoe features Gonz’s Shmoo character and the soles are constructed from white EVA, so you probably won’t be doing much skating in these unless you want some luxe-looking shredders.
