You need a certain kind of swag to pull these off, as the new Givenchy high-tops are for those with the world at their feet. Or at least that’s the vibe I’m getting from these leather, gold tone sneakers which come in two colourways. The black has a decorative gold metal band at the back of the heel, embossed emblems, leather lining and rubber soles. The grey has the same specs minus the gold tone band at the back making those more about ‘athleticism’ (their words) than swag.

Personally I’m more partial to the black but the grey/white two tone have a certain je ne sais quoi about them. Onsale at Mr Porter, all Givenchy boutiques and online they’re a cool USD $805.
