A Look Into The Ksubi’s Moto-inspired Collaboration with A$AP TyY

Inspired by motowear aesthetics, the latest collection of clothing from Ksubi in collaboration with A$AP Mob member, A$AP TyY, bridges the gap between fashion, music, and motorsports.

Global denim fashion house and Australian streetwear brand, Ksubi, have built an ever-growing presence worldwide since their foundation in 1999. By pushing the boundaries and constantly building a well-respected identity, they’ve been able to work with the likes of Kylie Jenner, The Internet, and A$AP Rocky. There is no stopping now for the brand, as they meet their artistic match in A$AP Mob member, A$AP TyY, for a limited edition capsule collection.

The collaboration lines up with the release of A$AP TyY’s debut EP 1840 LEX, and features moto-inspired designs that allow for the fashion, music, and motorsports worlds to collide. The relationship between A$AP TyY, and Ksubi runs deep, as the A$AP Mob collective were some of the first artists to sport the brand during its early days. With this profound and loyal history together, Ksubi’s creative direction on this collection keeps in mind the bike life subculture in New York and A$AP TyY’s link to it.

The collection consists of nine pieces, filled with denim, moto-jerseys, a t-shirt, a hoodie, and accessories. The designs include a personalised take on traditional racing jerseys, with logos and sponsor branding, Ksubi’s custom faded denim wash techniques, oil stain effects, ‘gravel splatter’ artwork, repair style embroidery, and fabric distressing, as a nod to the natural wear and tear of clothing that occurs when participating in motocross sports.

The Ksubi x A$AP TyY Collection is now available at ksubi.com.au
