In celebration of 30 years since the Air Max came onto the scene, Nike has brought three top-end designers to give their take on the legendary silhouette.

First up, Marc Newson combines the Flyknit material and Vapormax soles for the hybrid NikeLab Air Vapour Max. Try saying that five times fast. Speaking of fast, that’s what these shoes are. No one would be able to catch you anywhere with these bad boys on your feet.

Next, we’ve got Givenchy’s former creative director, Riccardo Tisci. As an update from the 1990 Air Max, these kicks come in with white outsoles, complimented by a synthetic leather body. Titled the NikeLab Air Max 97 X RT, Tisci has crafted a shoe that will take things to a new height. Literally, they make you a couple centimetres taller as is the tradition of the Air Max.

Finally, the third pair is from Arthur Huang who used only recycled materials to make the NikeLab Air Max 1 Ultra 2.0 FK x Arthur Huang. It’s also the lightest Air Max 1 ever.

With each design being equal inventive in their own rights, it’s a pretty good way to mark the passing of the anniversary. You can check them out in the gallery above and keep in mind that all three pairs will be available after March 26.
