Who needs two hands when you can have just one? That’s what the young German watchmakers at Defakto are saying anyway, with the release of their single floating hollowed hand on a minimalistic clock face. The hand tells you the time in intervals rather than minutes or seconds, with markings indicating the hour and quarter-hourly periods. However, time-poor people beware. The time can be accurately estimated within two minutes. But for those who don’t have two minutes to spare, Defakto have also released the conventional two-hand version which maintains the clean, minimal and understated appeal.
