If you have a thing for numbers or sneakers, and you happen to be in Melbourne, you might want to head down to streetwear spot Up There Store. Kicking off with an event on Friday night, and open to the public from Saturday July 2, the dedicated space shows off the comprehensive history of New Balance’s 99X series, featuring some of your favourite colourways from one of the brand’s signature ranges. This also coincided with the launch of the brand’s newest addition to the family, the MLR999 Re-Engineered, which you can cop right now (if you can still find a pair). If you weren’t part of the opening night celebrations, you can get a glimpse of what went down in our gallery above. But if you are in the 3000 neighbourhood, we strongly suggest you head to the ‘museum’ space and get yourself a history lesson in of the classic sneaker silhouettes in New Balance folklore.
