This year’s Miss Universe pageant took place today (the first sans Donald Trump involvement), and even though they sidestepped a lot of potential controversy since dumping the outspoken media and property mogul, the event wasn’t going down without a little drama. The host this year was comedian and Family Feud host Steve Harvey, who’s normally on point with his witty comebacks under pressure of live television but, by his own admission, this time he fucked up. It was at the tense end of the show, the announcing of the winner, that Steve accidentally gave the crown to the intended first runner-up Miss Colombia. Ariadna Gutierrez was enjoying the glory for a minute or two before a sheepish Steve came back on the stage, in a semi-Kanye-esque moment, to correct his error. Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach was eventually given her rightful title as 2015 Miss Universe.
