Mates Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole have gone toe to toe, dropping their own verses over each other’s songs. The pair have been working pretty closely lately but we’re all still waiting on any official news of an album release. So I guess these two tracks will have to tide us over for now. The two tracks dropped online at the same time, with K.Dot unleashing some mean bars over ‘A Tale of 2 Cities’.

Cole took on Kendrick’s anthem-like ‘Alright’ with some fighting words of his own and don’t think we didn’t catch that mention of something dropping in February. Whether it’s this mythical collaborative album still remains to be seen but we’ll definitely be keeping an ear out for it.
