01. Virgil Abloh gives insight in to his Nike collab

Virgil Abloh and Nike’s relationship goes way back to the designer’s teenage days when he and his friends used to mail their designs to Nike. Now 36 and lauded for his brand Off-White, Abloh is officially collaborating with Nike to produce ten deconstructed and reconstructed sneakers. According to Abloh’s “thesis” displayed at The Ten space in New York, the collaboration is about celebrating Nike’s history by “recognising its icons from the past, but showing them for the design integrity of the future”.  The ten shoes are divided into two themes: “REVEALING” and “GHOSTING”, and playfully use text such as “shoelaces” and “air”.

02. Supreme x 'blood and semen' Vans collab

In their latest collab, Supreme and Vans take inspiration from blood and semen. A recently leaked photo has revealed that the forthcoming black Vans Old Skool, Chukka, and Sk8-Hi will be dipped in a motif that combines these two bodily fluids. This is all thanks to shock artist Andres Serrano, who has also worked with heavy metal icons Metallica and Godflesh. Release dates are yet to be announced, but meanwhile keep the ‘Supreme x Vans Blood and Semen Pack’ on your Christmas wish list.

03. David White's '85 Jordans

Who needs paintbrushes when you can use an Air Jordan 1… right? This is the logic of artist David White, who has created a portrait of Michael Jordan by utilising the old school Nike model. As an artist White celebrates popular culture, and explores emotive issues such as memory and identity. White has been using the Air Jordan 1’s for over 20 years, and has recently grammed an image of the battered, paint-splattered pair. You can check out his instagram here.

04. Supreme unveils a new Nike SB Air Force 2

Recent Supreme x Nike news heralds the reinvention of the Nike SB Air Force 2, which comes in neon bright blue, orange and yellow as well as brown colour iterations. This remake of the retro Nike silhouette features a premium leather upper, perforated patent leather quarter panels and Supreme-branded eyelets. Co-branding adorns the insole, tongue and retro-inspired orange hash tags, celebrating the close relationship between the two brands.

You can now get your hands on these lurid new designs at Supreme’s Los Angeles, New York, London and Paris locations, and at supremenewyork.com. A Japan launch follows this Saturday.
